Given : f(x)=2x+1 and g(x)=x^2-1.

We need to find  (f/g)(x).

Note: In the given options, we have 2x + 1 and x^2 - 7 parts.

So, let us take f(x)=2x+1 and g(x)=x^2-7.

(f/g)(x) =\frac{f(x)}{g(x)}

Plugging f and g functions in the formula.

(\frac{f}{g})(x)=\frac{(2x+1)}{(x^2-7)}

Also, it would be undefined for x = ± square root 7 becaue it would give 0 in the denomiantor.

Therefore, correct option is C. 2x + 1 / x^2 - 7, x ≠ ± square root 7.

What is the value of b
2b + 8 − 5b + 3 = −13 + 8b − 5
Yuri [45]

Answer:

See below.

Step-by-step explanation:

2b + 8 − 5b + 3 = −13 + 8b − 5

Reorder like terms.

2b-5b+8+3=8b-13-5

Combine those like terms. Then solve.

-3b+11=8b-18

      -11       -11

-3b=8b-29

-8b -8b

-11b=-29

/-11    /-11

b=2.64

If 2 triangles are similar, the ratio of one side of the triangle to the corresponding side of the other is always same for all 3 sides.
We can make use of this rule to calculate the length of sides.
From the image,
3 / 15 = 6 / x
Simplify,
1 / 5 = 6 / x
Use cross method to solve this.
5 x 6 = 1 x x
X = 30
Therefore the length of x is 30ft., A.

John and Andrew have £3.40 between them. John has £1.20 more than Andrew. John has £u and Andrew £v
Dahasolnce [82]
In the given question, there are several information's of immense importance and they can be used to find the necessary answers. It is already given that John and Andrew have 3.40 pound together. It is also given that John has 1.20 pound more than Andrew. It is also assumed that John has"u" pound and Andrew has "v" pounds.
Then we can write the two equations as
u + v = 3.40
u = v + 1.20
To find the values of u and v, we can replace the u in the first equation with the value of u in the second equation. Then
u + v = 3.40
(v + 1.20) + v = 3.40
2v + 1.20 = 3.40
2v = 3.40 - 1.20
2v = 2.2
v = 2.2/2
  = 1.1
Now we replace the value of v in the first equation to find the value of u.
u + v = 3.40
u + 1.1 = 3.40
u = 3.40 - 1.1
u = 2.3
