How can the sentence be rewritten so it is in the subjunctive mood?
prohojiy [21]

The sentence that is rewritten in the subjunctive mood is option A) I wish I were going to the movies with you this Friday”

The subjunctive mood is used in formal written English to express unreal conditions, suggestions or wishes. In this case, the example is related to wishes and it is formed by the word “wish” and the verb in the subjunctive voice is “were going”. As we can see the auxiliary “were” does not keep the same form of the person “I” because it is in the subjunctive mood.

Option B is not in the subjunctive mood, it is using an indicative mood

Option C is not in the subjunctive mood since it is a question in the present tense.

Would you prefer to live inn the centre of a busy city or in a quiet neighbourhood give example and reason to support your view
jenyasd209 [6]

Answer:

Busy City

Explanation:

Even if it may be appealing to live in a calm, serene neighborhood, that is not how society has operated in the previous few hundred years and will not change. The city has both positives and downsides of these attachments, despite being the most touched by humans. For example, it may be more valuable to be close to a work, have access to public transportation, and have plenty of space to unwind that would not be possible in an neighborhood. Regarding the drawbacks, while it would be nice to have personal space and not hear the sounds of noise pollution, I believe the worries will pass at night, when I can sleep and relax. While air pollution is a problem, I will mostly be remaining inside buildings because of it.
