The Palestine Liberation Organization is an organization founded in 1964. It's purpose was to so called liberate Palestine. This group used guerrilla tactics against Israeli forces, sponsored terrorist attacks against civilians, launched and intifada in 1987, adopting civil disobedience tactics and began to negotiate with Israel in 1991.
