Adam opened a savings account at his bank with a guaranteed annual interest rate of 4.0% for 6 years. If he deposits $15,000.00

and the interest is compounded annually, the interest on the account is modeled by the function A = 15,000(1 + .04)t.
Find the domain and range of the function in the context given.

The answer choices are:

A)R:{0 ≤ t ≤ 18,979.79}; D{0 ≤ A ≤ 6}
B)D:{0 ≤ t ≤ 6}; R:{0 ≤ A ≤ 18,979.79}
C)R:{15,000 ≤ t ≤ 18,979.79}; D:{0 ≤ A ≤ 6}
D)D:{0 ≤ t ≤ 6}; R:{15,000 ≤ A ≤ 18,979.79}

Please do not just give an answer. Show me how to do this so that I can repeat the steps for future problems.

The domain of t is the years the account is active:  0 - 6 years. The domain of t sets the range of A.

When t = 0 A = 15,000.00
when t = 6 ; A = 18,979.79

So it's answer D.

8^1/3 or how to do it with any fractions
ahrayia [7]

Answer:

2

Step-by-step explanation:

When given a fractional power, you want to try to see if the base has any power that can be used to simplify the power.

Since a^b/c =

\sqrt[b]{ {a}^{c} }

8^1/3=

\sqrt[3]{ {8}^{1} }

8 times by it self it 8

cube root of 8 is three numbers that are the same and times by each other to give 8

Determine if f(x, y) = 10 − x^2 − y^2
Eva8 [605]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x,y)=10-x^2-y^2

To find derivative of z w.r.t. x is treat any other variable as a constant.

dz/dx=0-2x-0

dz/dx=-2x

Evaluating this at (7,-3) gives us dz/dx=-2(7)=-14.

Since this result is negative, it mrans as x increases z decreases.

f(x,y)=10-x^2-y^2

To find derivative of z w.r.t. y is treat any other variable as a constant.

dz/dx=0-0-2y

dz/dx=-2y

Evaluating this at (7,-3) gives us dz/dy=-2(-3)=6.

Since this result is positive it mrans as y increases z decreases.
