During the Second Industrial Revolution, the labor movement in the United States grew out of the need to protect the common interest of workers. These labor unions fought for better wages, reasonable hours and safer working conditions as during that time, the working conditions in factories, mills, and mines were terrible. So workers joined together and created unions in order to fight for their safety and better and increased wages.
B. Neither women nor slaves were encouraged to pursue an education.
It could be because the area was of water that both sides
needed to supply their troops. Another
reason was when the Allies launched Operation Torch, it would enable them to
get hold of the Mediterranean so their ships could have a place to dock. It also would persuade the French to help the
Allies.
A because that's when people had no money and we lost a lot of jobs....
