Answer:

It's the last  choice:  (x + 5) / (x^2 - 7x + 10).

Step-by-step explanation:

x^2 - 7x + 10

= (x - 5)(x - 2)

If these are  a denominator of a rational expression then  2 and 5 will be excluded values.

This is because x = 5 or x = 2 makes the denominator = zero and the function  then becomes undefined.

So the answer is (x + 5) / (x^2 - 7x + 10).

Hitman42 [59]

Answer: 720

Step-by-step explanation:

480 : 16 marked

480-16 = 464

They saw 464 unmarked squirrels and 16 marked squirrels

464/16 = 29

They saw 29 unmarked squirrels for every 1 makes squirrel

29 * 24 = 696

They would have seen 696 unmarked squirrels for the 24 marked squirrels.

696 + 24 = 720

FinnZ [79.3K]

Answer:

  • The approximate distance between the docks is 357 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the distance between docks be d.

This is the opposite side to 45° angle of triangle with other sides 400 ft and 500 ft.

Use the law of cosines to find the value of d:

  • d = \sqrt{400^2+500^2-2*400*500*cos45} =357 (rounded)
