This is the correct option.

Water sources determined where people chose to settle

Explanation:

The geography of the Indus River Valley influence where people settled the same way as it did across the world in the time of the early civilizations.

The people preferred to settle on the lands where there was a steady supply of water and the land was fertile because of the flooding every season.

This is what was the basis of the farming and the situation of the trade of the time and made it so that the civilization could settle in those regions.

What is the best way to prevent chronic disease?
malfutka [58]

Answer:

chronic diseases can be prevented by rest, exercise and diet.. because lastest researches has shown that the main causes of chronic diseases if not hereditary it's from the lack of adequate rest, regularly exercise and a good diet..we are being advised to rest for at least 2hrs in the morning and 6hrs in the night time which makes it 8hrs per day but due to d nature's of our jobs and daily activities we fail to do such and rest covers 10% of our good health.

exercise also plays a vital role in our health exercising for at least 30mins daily help to bring out bad toxics from the body through sweat and this also covers 10% of our good health but most people looks at I like it's stress or useless to them.

And finally our diet covers the remaining 80% of our good health,we no longer eat to diet but eat to die because if we can really look at this chronic diseases they are caused by the food we eat.for example excess in take of carbohydrates leads to diabetes and diabetes seems to be the gate way to all other chronic diseases, while heart diseases can be caused by excess intake of our protein (red meats) which has high level of cholesterol etc...so for us to prevent chronic diseases we should be able to rest, exercise and have a good diet or we can supplement or diet.

An Ethical Dilemma Problem
vladimir1956 [14]

Answer:

An Ethical Dilemma Problem

Throughout history it has been the practice in many countries to use convicts in scientific experiments or studies. One research group has developed a chemical that preliminary tests indicate that it will cure a fatal disease that affects many people. This group wants to seek volunteers from the prison population to advance their study. They would administer the chemical to consenting prisoners and monitor its effects on the human body.

No study of this type is ever risk free, but the researchers have designed a protocol that they believe minimizes it for the prisoners. Because there can always be unexpected consequences, including illness or death, participants are offered special privileges during the testing period and possible reduction in their sentences after the conclusion of the study. Since, some of the prisoners consenting to be treated for a long period of time with higher doses of the chemical than the other participants, this group is offered full pardons at the conclusion of the study as an inducement to consent. The research group has proposed its study to those in charge of the prison and these administrators must decide whether to allow the study. If John Stuart Mill was presented with this study proposal what would he determine? That is, from his Utilitarian perspective, would Mill claim this program is moral? Use his ideas and evaluate this program from his perspective and note how he would advise the administrators.

The professor was making reference to Kara's inability to effectively use <u>"critical thinking".</u>

Critical thinking is a rich idea that has been creating all through the previous 2500 years. The expression "critical thinking" has its underlying foundations in the mid-late twentieth century. We offer here covering definitions, together which frame a substantive, transdisciplinary origination of critical thinking.

Critical thinking is the intellectually trained procedure of effectively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, breaking down, incorporating, or potentially assessing data assembled from, or produced by, perception, encounter, reflection, thinking, or correspondence, as a manual for conviction and activity.
