\bf \begin{cases}
f(x)=x^2+3x-5\\
g(x)=x+4
\end{cases}
\\\\[-0.35em]
\rule{34em}{0.25pt}\\\\
\stackrel{x=1}{f(1)}=(1)^2+3(1)-5\implies \boxed{f(1)}=-1
\\\\[-0.35em]
~\dotfill\\\\
g(~~f(x)~~)=[f(x)]+4\implies g(~~f(1)~~)=[f(1)]+4
\\\\\\
g(~~f(1)~~)=\boxed{-1}+4\implies \blacktriangleright g(~~f(1)~~)=3 \blacktriangleleft

I think the answer is 3. Plug in the value of x (1) into the f(x). Then solve to find that f(x)= -1, then plug in -1 to x in g(x) to get that g(f(x))=3

Mrs. Tyner drove about 150 km east from Pearland, to Houston, Texas. She
frozen [14]

Answer:

d = 167.7 m

Step-by-step explanation:

We have,

Mrs. Tyner drove about 150 km east from Pearland, to Houston, Texas. She  drove about another 75 km north to Dallas.

It is required to find the approximate air  distance from Pearland to Dallas, Texas.

The resultant vector will give the approximate air  distance. So,

d=\sqrt{150^2+75^2} \\\\d=167.7\ m

So, the approximate air  distance from Pearland to Dallas, Texas is 167.7 m.

Jane:  Think:  the hypotenuse of her ramp is 14 inches and the angle opposite the rise is 30 degrees.  Thus, cos 30 deg = (adj side) / (hyp) = (adj side) / (14 in).

Solving for (adj side), we get   (adj side) = (14 in)(sqrt(3)/2) = 7 sqrt(3) inches.

4 Ayla s is paid $15 20 per hour for a 34 hour week. April has the same weekly pay but works 38
VashaNatasha [74]

Find Atlas weekly pay by multiplying rate by hours:

15.20 x 34 = 516.80 a week.

Now to find Apri’s rate divide the weekly pay by hours:

516.80 / 38 =$13.60 per hour
