Can someone tell me the answer step by step about the surface area please I hope some one can answer me

1.) Find the width and length.
- Width is how wide it is
- Length is how long it is

2.) In this case, the width is 14, while the length is 3.

3.) Multiply those to find your surface area. ( 14 x 3 = 42 )

4.) 42 is your surface area, but AREA is always SQUARED ( small 2 on the top right of the number )

5.) Final answer will also have to be labeled. In this case, it is using in (Inches).

6.) 42 inches squared is your final answer.

To find the surface area we need to find the area of each face then add them all up.

for the top face, we can see the length on the left is 3 inches and the base length is 14 inches since it’d be the same as the base of the rectangular face facing us. so we do 3 x 14 which is 42 inches squared (because it’s an area).

then we do 9 x 14 to find the area of the other face, which gives us 126 inches squared (because it’s an area).

then to find the square face on the side, we do 3 x 9 since we can see the height and width of that square is the same as each length given to us (3 inches and 9 inches). this then gives us 27 inches squared.

we then add all these numbers up to get the total surface area:
42 + 126 + 27 = 195 inches squared.
