The sum of the numbers is the same, as they are the same numbers, just in a different order.

So the sum is 192.

It's the same because it's used the commutative property where:

a+b = b+a

So, 86+68+38=192 it's the same sum as 68+38+86=192

How many diagonals does a cube have
Aleksandr-060686 [28]

A cube has 4 "space" diagonals or diagonals within the cube's interior.

On its surface, a cube has 12 "face" diagonals, 2 per each of its six congruent square faces.

So the total number of diagonals is 4 + 12 = 16

There is a shop selling new compact disks and used compact disks. John bought 3 new compact disks and 8 used compact disks for $
frozen [14]

The price of a used compact disk is $9.99.

Well, this is a system of 2 equations and 2 unknowns.

Let n = the price of new compact disks and let

u = the price of used compact disks.

Then the first equation would be 6n + 2u = 127.92.

The second equation would be

3n+8u = 133.89.

So our system is,

What is the system of equations?

A set of simultaneous equations, also known as a system of equations or an equation system, is a finite set of equations for which common solutions are sought.

6n + 2u = 127.92

3n+8u = 133.89

Since I don't like working with decimals I would multiply both equations by 100 that way it would get rid of the decimal.

Doing so results in the following system

600n+200u = 12792

300n+800u = 13389

Now we want to know how much one used disk sells for.

To do that we multiply the bottom equation by -2 and add it to the top equation.

-2(300n+800u = 13389)

=> -300n-1600u = -26778

Now we add that to the top equation

600n+200u = 12792

+(-300n-1600u = -26778)

----------------------------

-1400u = -13987

Now we solve for u by dividing both sides by -1400 and we see that

u = 9.99.

So the price of a used compact disk is $9.99.

Find the P-value for the indicated hypothesis test with the given standardized test statistic, z. Decide whether to reject H0 fo
Usimov [2.4K]

Answer:

Reject H0 as the critical region for alpha = 0.07 is z ≤ -1.82 and z≥ 1.82

Step-by-step explanation:

For the significance level ∝ = 0.07

For a two tailed test we divide it with 2 and get 0.035

When we subtract 0.035 from 1 we get 0.965

And when we look at the z- table and corresponding to 0.965 we find the value of z to be 1.82

Now the calculated value of z= -1.94 which is less than ±1.82.

Hence reject H0 if z ≤ -1.82 and z≥ 1.82

Therefore reject H0.

While ∝ =0.07

p- value = 0.06 should be examined

the p- value is the smallest value of ∝ where we reject H0.

Hence at ∝= 0.06 critical region is z ≤ -1.88 and z≥ 1.88

At ∝= 0.05 critical region is z ≤ -1.96 and z≥ 1.96

So p- value is near 0.06
