The  Scientific Revolution meant the emergence of modern science at the beginning of modernism when developments in mathematics, biology, physics, anatomy, and chemistry changed society's viewpoint about nature. Empiricism played an important role by stating that knowledge comes from sensory experience and emphasizing evidence gathered through experimentation.
