The Gupta empire has led India on the track of a stable and successful India. In addition to internal conflicts, the Gupta Empire encountered persistent challenges of invasion from the Northwestern part, which were the key reasons for its collapse and division of the empire between  North and South India. In geographical terms, there were two principal dynasties that ruled India's Southern and Deccan regions. In particular, these dynasties were not only Chalukaya and Pallava both of which were great patrons of arts.
