According to levels-of-processing theory, the synonym/antonym group’s performance should be the highest while the same letter group’s performance should be the lowest.

The levels of processing theory by Craik and Lockhart fixates on the processing depth that’s involved in the memory, and then that after anticipating the processing of deeper information, the protracted a memory trace will last.

What were the characteristics that were valued in Roman society in ovid metamorphoses?
svetoff [14.1K]

Answer:

Explanation:

The Metamorphoses is a Latin narrative poem by the Roman poet Ovid. Ovid suggested that  metamorphosis is the only rule of the universe. Metamorphoses" means "tranformations" and there are many kinds of transformations throughout the poem.  Indeed, nearly everything in the story is in a process of changing. Chaos is transformed into the universe, rivers and springs are created from nothing, islands break off from the land, people change into plants and animals, gods change their shape, people are transformed by love and by hate.

The characteristics that were valued in Roman society in Ovid' metamorphosis includes:

  • Ability to enforce tradition, a dear concept for  ideologists in the Augustus era. The tradition of Greek and Roman  legends, on which the healthy educational training of the youth was based,  bestow nobility to the contents of Ovid’s writings .
  • The poem aims at showing that logos and mythos are two concepts that  combine very well within philosophical and scientific discourse. The  didactic perspective underlines the valorisation of the mythical examples  reunited into thematic catalogues .
  • The poem is also an instrument for parodying  the philosophical literary writings which aimed at clarifying the great  issues of humanity. It is well known that Book I and Book XV of the  Metamorphoses deal with philosophical topics – cosmogony, respectively the Pythagorean theory for the creation of the universe .

Assess how rulers were seen changed during the Enlightenment period. Be sure to use specific examples.
Nonamiya [84]
Rulers prior to the enlightenment period were seen as servants of the people. They worked hard to keep t heir kingdom's protected from harm and prosperous. As Machiavelli theorized government eventually corrupted the rulers and they became tyrants that mistreated their people. This eventually led to the common practice of revolution, such as the American Revolution. Examples would be Emperor Commodus, King Septimus Serverus, and Prince Adam of Whales.
