With simple inequalities like this, all you have to do is rearrange to get the numbers on one side of the side and an x on the other;
You can treat the sign like an equals sign but remember one rule;
If you ever multiply or divide both sides of the equation by a negative number, swap the sign (if it's ≤, then make it ≥ and vice versa);
So, for the questions above:

29.
-x/2 ≤ -4
-x ≤ -8
x ≥ 8

30.
I'm unsure what's being asked for this question.

31.
For these graphs, just look at whether the direction of the line from its origin (the small circle part) is going up the number line to the larger numbers or towards the smaller (more negative) numbers;
In this case, the line starts at 10 and goes up the number line;
The circle that denotes the start of the line is unshaded, this means the inequality being represented is a > or <, not a ≥ or ≤, which is shown by a circle that is shaded;
Looking at the line (representing x-values) therefore, we can determine the inequality it represents is:
x > 10;
so now we just need to rearrange the options given and see which is the same as x > 10;
In this case it is option A:
x/5 - 6 > -4
x/5 > 2
x > 10

Casey has 48 peppers and 16 yellow peppers . If he wants to put the peppers into baskets so that each basket has the same number
liraira [26]

Answer:

3 red peppers and 1 yellow pepper in each basket.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given that Casey has 48 peppers and 16 yellow peppers. He wants to put the peppers into baskets so that each basket has the same number of red and yellow peppers. We are asked to find the number of red and yellow papers in each basket.

To solve our given problem, we need to find greatest common factor of 48 and 16.

Prime factorization of 48 is 2\times 2\times 2\times 2\times 3.

Prime factorization of 16 is 2\times 2\times 2\times 2.

Greatest common factor of 48 and 16 would be 2\times 2\times 2\times 2=16.

Therefore, Casey can make 16 baskets with same number of red and yellow peppers.

Now we will divide 48 and 16 by 16 to find number of red peppers and yellow peppers in each basket respectively.

\text{Red peppers in each baseket}=\frac{48}{16}=3

\text{Red peppers in each baseket}=\frac{16}{16}=1

Therefore, there will be 3 red peppers and 1 yellow pepper in each basket.

1 kilogram (kg) is about 2.2 times as heavy as 1 pound (lb). Suppose the function f determines Chase's weight (in lbs), f(t) , g
krek1111 [17]

Answer:

  a) 87.7

  b) g(t) = f(t)/2.2

Step-by-step explanation:

The number of pounds is 2.2 times the number of kilograms, so we have ...

  f(t) = 2.2·g(t)

a) On day 37, Chase's weight in kg is ...

  f(37) = 2.2g(37)

  193 = 2.2g(37)

  g(37) = 193/2.2

  g(37) ≈ 87.7

__

b) Rearranging the equation we started with, we have ...

  g(t) = f(t)/2.2
