The Broadway and Hollywood choreographer ________ is best remembered for infusing his/her dances with a sense of athleticism… In

1942, he/she joined what is now the American Ballet Theatre and was a featured solo dancer in several works, including Leonard Bernstein’s Fancy Free (choreographed by Jerome Robbins) in 1946. He/She made their Broadway debut in 1947 as the choreographer of Finian’s Ranibow, choreographed and/or directed over seventeen other Broadway musicals, including Guys and Dolls and Can-Can. Film credits include Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Hello, Dolly! His/Her work earned a total of five Tony Awards and an honorary Academy Award in 1997.
