The measure of the two hypothenus are equal as well as the measureof the two given legs.
x - y = x + 2 => y = -2
2x - y = 4x + 2y
2x - (-2) = 4x + 2(-2)
2x + 2 = 4x - 4
4x - 2x = 2 + 4
2x = 6
x = 6/2 = 3
x = 3

Answer:

Option 2

Step-by-step explanation:

As we can see, the old graph was:

y=x^2

And the new graph is:

y = -x^2 + 3

We can determine from the new graph that the minus sign with x^2 means the graph is reflected upon x-axis.

Now, there is 3 with the new graph. As 3 is separate from the function, this means there is vertical shift. Since the sign of the constant defines the direction of shift, the positive or plus sign means the shifting is upwards while the negative sign means downward shifting.

The given new function is obtained from reflecting the old function over the x-axis and shifting up 3.

So, option 2 is correct ..

Liz earns a salary of $2,200 per month, plus a commission of 7% of her sales. She wants to earn at least $2,400 this month. Ente
Tema [17]

Liz needs to sale items of worth at least $2857.14 in order to meet her goal.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Salary of Liz = $2200 per month

Commission rate = 7% = 0.07

Amount she wants to earn = $2400 or more

Let,

p be the worth of items she sale.

Amount of commission = 0.07p

Now,

Amount of commission + Monthly salary ≥ Amount she wants to earn

0.07p+2200≥2400

Solving the inequality;

0.07p\geq 2400-2200\\0.07p\geq  200

Dividing both sides by 0.07

\frac{0.07p}{0.07}\geq \frac{200}{0.07}\\p\geq 2857.14

Liz needs to sale items of worth at least $2857.14 in order to meet her goal.

X= <br> Y=<br> Find the values of X and Y
Art [367]
<h3><u>Answer:</u></h3>
  • x = 50°
  • y = 65°
<h3><u>Step-by-step explanation:</u></h3>

<u>We can clearly see that the triangle is an isosceles triangle. This also means that y must equal to 180 - 115. Let's solve.</u>

  • => x + y + 180 - 115 = 180
  • => x + y + 65 = 180

<u>Since 180 - 115 equals 65, this means that </u><u>y = 65.</u>

  • => x + 65 + 65 = 180
  • => x + 130 = 180
  • => x = 180 - 130
  • => x = 50
<h3><u>Conclusion:</u></h3>

<u>Therefore, our answers are:</u>

  • x = 50°
  • y = 65°

Hoped this helped.
