12.5 because you add up all of the number of laps. Then you divide that from how laps there were.

What is minimal completion time for the activities in the graph below? In a complete sentence, explain how you got your answer
kupik [55]
The minimal completion time for the activities is the shortest possible time for all the activities to be finished. In doing this, we look at the path that would require the greatest amount of time. At the START node, we choose the path that would take the longest which is 7 days leading to ACTIVITY D. Next, we choose the path leading to ACTIVITY B which takes 5 days. Then, we move to ACTIVITY C taking 5 days and finally, reach the END which would take 6 days. So, the minimal completion time is:
7 + 5 + 5 + 6 = 23 days

Whats the ninth term of 25 20 15 10 5
Kaylis [27]

Given:

The sequence is 25, 20, 15, 10, 5.

To find:

The ninth term of the given sequence.

Solution:

We have,

25, 20, 15, 10, 5

It is an AP because the difference between two consecutive terms are same.

Here,

First term (a) = 25

Common difference (d) = 20-25

                                       = -5

The nth terms of an AP is

a_n=a+(n-1)d

Where, a is the first term and d is the common difference.

Putting a=25, n=9 and d=-5 to get the 9th term.

a_9=25+(9-1)(-5)

a_9=25+(8)(-5)

a_9=25-40

a_9=-15

Therefore, the ninth term of the given sequence is -15.

Does the table represent a function if the input is 1,2,3,4 and the output is 3,6,11,18?
skelet666 [1.2K]
Yes..it does. To be a function, all the inputs (x's) have to be different numbers...there can be no repeating x's...there can be repeating outputs (y's)...just not the x's

Drag the tiles to the correct boxes to complete the pairs. Not all tiles will be used.
astra-53 [7]

Answer:

3\pi \rightarrow y=2\cos \dfrac{2x}{3}\\ \\\dfrac{2\pi }{3}\rightarrow y=6\sin 3x\\ \\\dfrac{\pi }{3}\rightarrow  y=-3\tan 3x\\ \\10\pi \rightarrow y=-\dfrac{2}{3}\sec \dfrac{x}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

The period of the functions y=a\cos(bx+c) , y=a\sin(bx+c), y=a\sec (bx+c) or y=a\csc(bx+c) can be calculated as

T=\dfrac{2\pi}{b}

The period of the functions y=a\tan(bx+c) or y=a\cot(bx+c) can be calculated as

T=\dfrac{\pi}{b}

A. The period of the function y=-3\tan 3x is

T=\dfrac{\pi}{3}

B. The period of the function y=6\sin 3x is

T=\dfrac{2\pi}{3}

C. The period of the function y=-4\cot \dfrac{x}{4} is

T=\dfrac{\pi}{\frac{1}{4}}=4\pi

D. The period of the function y=2\cos \dfrac{2x}{3} is

T=\dfrac{2\pi}{\frac{2}{3}}=3\pi

E. The period of the function y=-\dfrac{2}{3}\sec \dfrac{x}{5} is

T=\dfrac{2\pi}{\frac{1}{5}}=10\pi
