4x-2x=2x and 1 doesn't have a variable, so the answer in simplified form is 2x+1. I hope this helps you.

4x - 2x + 1 = 2x + 1

the answer is 2x + 1 because you start with likable terms such as 4x & 2x
so subtract those and you get 2x then just add the 1 and the simplified expression is:
2x + 1

Hope this helps and i hope its right
thank you and have a good day,

The ratio of losses to wins for Kyle's team is 3 to 2. If the team had played the same number of games, but had won twice as man
Fiesta28 [93]

Answer: The new ratio will be 1/4

Explanation: The initial ratio of losses to wins is 3 to 2. If we sum the numer of losses and wins 3 + 2 = 5 games, that means they loss 3 out of 5 games , and they win 2 out of 5 games.

So if they had won twice as many of the games, that is 2*2=4. And since the number of games is the same ( 5 ), then they would have won 4 games and loss only 1.

So the new ratio of losses to wins will be 1 to 4, or expressed in a fraction: 1/4

According to the synthetic division below, which of the following statements are true?
statuscvo [17]

A, D and E are correct

given ( x - 4 ) is a factor then x = 4 is a root

the remainder on division by (x - 4 ) = 0 as indicated by the 0 on the right side of the quotient

(x - 4 ) is a factor of 3x² - 13x + 4 → A

the number 4is a root of f(x) = 3x² - 13x + 4 → D ( explained above )

thus 3x² - 13x + 4 ÷ (x - 4 ) = 3x - 1 → E

the quotient line 3 - 1 0

3 and - 1 are the coefficients of the linear quotient and 0 is the remainder

The perimeter of a triangle is 29. One side of a triangle is 5 less than twice the side of the shortest length. The third side i
PolarNik [594]

Answer:

 • 7, 9, 13

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the sides of the triangle be a, b and c.

We have:

 • P = a + b + c = 29
 • a = 2b - 5
 • c = b + 6

Substitute values and solve for b:

 • 2b - 5 + b + b + 6 = 29
 • 4b + 1 = 29
 • 4b = 28
 • b = 7

Find a and c:

 • a = 2*7 - 5 = 14 - 5 = 9
 • c = 7 + 6 = 13

The sides are: 7, 9, 13
