Intervene in the economy.

The economic crisis of 1929 that began the Great Depression of the 1930s changed the perception of economists in relation to liberal economic orthodoxy. Thus, Franklin Roosevelt was elected with a new platform, which promised to provide social assistance to people and intervene to solve the depression of the economy.

Rooseveld was influenced by economist John Keynes, who introduced a theory that suggested that the state should use its fiscal power in times of crisis. In fact, this was successful when Rooseveld launched a series of interventions, the New Deal, which helped people find jobs, instituted social security, and intervened in corporate pricing and production.

Today is Indigenous Peoples’ day. What does that title mean to you? Why do you think it is no longer called Columbus Day?
vekshin1

Answer:

Columbus enslaved Native Americans, and did other horrible acts. What he did used to be ignored on Columbus day, but now it is a day of celebrations of Native Americans’ history and heritage, which may include cultural events, vigils to mark the genocide, and healing gatherings. The name was changed so a man who raped, enslaved, and spread infections to innocent people is not celebrated; Christopher Columbus should not be seen as a good person.
