50 divided by 13 on both sides
13y/13 =0 50/13 = 3.846153....
change it to y= 3 since 4 is to big.
3•13 = 39
50-39=11
x=11

Final answer
x=11
y=3

Someone pls help me i need to find the amount of hours
ikadub [295]

Answer:

5.65 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Initial number of bacteria = 1000

N=1000(2)

To find: Time taken to: increase to 50,000

Solution: N=1000(2)

  • 50,000=1000(2)
  • Taking log,
  • log 50,000 = log 1000(2)
  • 4.7 = 3 + _  log 2
  • _ = 1.7/log 2 = 5.65

Answer = 5.65 hours

_ = symbol after the two in the brackets that is high up and smaller.

ivolga24 [154]

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Given f(x) then the derivative f'(x) is

f'(x) = lim(h tends to 0 ) \frac{f(x+h)-f(x)}{h}

      = lim ( h to 0 ) \frac{4(x+h)^2-2-(4x^2-2)}{h}

      = lim ( h to 0 ) \frac{4(x+h)^2-2-4x^2+2}{h}

      = lim( h to 0 ) \frac{4x^2+8hx+4h^2-4x^2}{h}

      = lim( h to 0 ) \frac{8hx+4h^2}{h}

      = lim ( h to 0 ) \frac{4h(2x+h)}{h} ← cancel h on numerator/ denominator

      = lim ( h to 0 )  4(2x + h) ← let h go to zero

f'(x) = 8x

Consider the first four terms of the sequence below. -3, -12, -48, -192, . . . What is the 8th term of this sequence? A. -49,152
kolbaska11 [484]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

there is a common ratio between consecutive terms , that is

- 12 ÷ - 3 = - 48 ÷ - 12 = - 192 ÷ - 48 = 4

this indicates the sequence is geometric with nth term

a_{n} = a₁ r^{n-1}

where a₁ is the first term and r the common ratio

here a₁ = - 3 and r = 4 , then

a₈ = - 3 × 4^{7} = - 3 × 16,384 = - 49,152
