#1. 5(t+3)=-10
5t+15=-10
5t=-25
t=-5

#2. -(c-10)=0
-c+10=0
c=10

#3. -10(s+3)=-15
-10s-30=-15
-10s=15
s=-3/2

#4. 5(f-5)=-60
5f-25=-60
5f=-35
f=-7

#5. -5(2t+2)=-70
-10t-10=-70
-10t=-60
t=6

#6. 4(3w+2)/3=-6
12w+8=-18
12w=-26
w=-13/6

#7.Substitute the °C with -8
Equation:
5/9(F-32)=-8
divide both sides by 5/9
F-32= -14.4
add 32 to both sides
F=17.6
Answer: -8°C in °F is approximately 18°F.

BTW, to get the degree sign, it's option+shift+8.

Based on probability and if it is appropriate for a decision to be left up to chance, choose every situation that is both statis
svet-max [94.6K]

The situations that are both statistically fair and morally fair are Situation 2, Situation 3 and Situation 5

How to categorize the situations?

For a situation to be fair, the probability of every outcome must be equal.

We can now analyze each option using the above highlight

Situation 1

 • Alphabets = 26
 • Probability of vowel = 5/26
 • Probability of consonant = 21/26

The probabilities of vowels and consonant are not equal.

Hence, this situation is not fair

Situation 2

People = 4

P(Each) = 1/4

The probability of each participant is equal in the above scenario i.e. 1/4

Hence, this situation is fair

Situation 3

 • People = 5
 • P(Each) = 1/5

The probability of each cousin is equal in the above scenario i.e. 1/5

Hence, this situation is fair

Situation 4

 • Numbers = 5 i.e. 2 to 6
 • P(Prime) = 3/5
 • P(Composite) = 4/6

The probabilities of prime and composite numbers are not equal.

Hence, this situation is not fair

Situation 5

 • Roommates = 5
 • Cards = 5
 • Aces = 4
 • P(Each) = 1/5

All probabilities are equal in the above scenario i.e. 1/5

Hence, this situation is fair

Write an inequality that represents the description then solve; Max has more than 5 carrots ( number of carrots Max has = c)
torisob [31]
If "C" is the number of carrots, then the phrase "Max has more than 5 carrots" can be written like this:

c\ \textgreater \ 5: the number of carrots that Max has is bigger than 5.

However, we can't solve it without any additional information, all we know is that c\ \textgreater \ 5
