The Call of the Wild, written by Jack London and published in 1903 is the story of a dog, Buck, who must face the consequences of man´s greed and whose life gets changed when he is taken away from his quite and peaceful life in California. Being taken to the wilderness of Canada, faced with mistreatment, overwork and injustice, Buck ends becoming a wild animal who belongs with wolves inside the deep forests of Canada.

In question 5, the correct answer is B. In the beginning, Buck suffers the attacks of humans and attacks a human himself. The attack by the lead dog Spitz, does not come until Buck arrives in the Klondlike region of Canada.

Question 6. the correct answer indeed is A, man vs man. Thornton beats Hal for mistreating Buck. Thornton dislikes Hal for what he does to the dog.

Question 7. Correct answer is third person ominiscent. This is a type of narrator that is often used so that the reader can have a full view of the story and of the entire setting, as well as having full knowledge about the events taking place and the characters without depending on a character foretelling something.

Question 8. The correct answer is Falling action. Falling action is when after the climax, the story begins to resolve and tie loose ends, when the reader starts to understand all the elements of the story and make sense of all the action he/she has read. In this case, in the scene of Hal beating Buck, this event leads to the final portion of the story, which is Thornton attacking Hal, Buck becoming owned by Thornton and the events that follow from there until the resolution of the story, when Buck finds his calling in the wild with wolves after the loss of his last human master.

Answer the following question down below in complete sentences and in your own words.
lapo4ka [179]

I think technology should be allowed in sports.

Technology can detect cheating, can decide scores, and can evaluate player performance better than any human can. It can keep track of scores better than a human as a human can forget. A human can even miss points. Technology can detect if you scored or not, making it even more efficient and accurate. It can detect the speed of the ball or the speed of the runner. Sports and technology go hand in hand and the pros outnumber the cons.
