Spontaneous recovery is a term that is used in classical conditioning. In this process, a person recovers a behavior spontaneously that was extinct at a time. The behavior occurs instantly. This process is applied to that behavior that was formed by the classical and ope-rant conditioning.

It is processed in which behavior reappears after a long time. It occurs when conditioned response and the unconditioned response are no longer associated with each other, which will lead to the extinction of the behavior.  

The problem of Hans is related to spontaneous recovery such as when not hearing the radio for several months. Hans gain shows the fear response. Hans's behavior was the result of spontaneous recovery.
