Which lines in this excerpt from Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven" clearly depict the speaker’s grief over the loss of Lenore and hi

s frustration with the raven?
1Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December,
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.

2And the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple curtain
Thrilled me—filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;

3"Leave my loneliness unbroken! quit the bust above my door!
Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!"

4Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore.

5For we cannot help agreeing that no living human being
Ever yet was blessed with seeing bird above his chamber door,

Serjik [45]

Answer: Read again stanzas one and two. Suggest a word or phrase of your own that best describe how the two characters feel about each other . In ballad of Birmingham, In the First Stanza, the daughter was asking for permission from her Mother, to go to the march, you could see, she respected her mother, and needed approval to do certain things. In the second stanza, you could see a Cautious woman, protecting her child from the dangers of the world.

Explanation:

In the first stanza;

Mother dear, may I go downtown

Instead of out to play,

And march the streets of Birmingham

In a Freedom March today?”

In the First Stanza, the daughter was asking for permission from her Mother, to go to the march, you could see, she respected her mother, and needed approval to do certain things.

In the second stanza;

No, baby, no, you may not go,

For the dogs are fierce and wild,

And clubs and hoses, guns and jails

Aren’t good for a little child.”

In the second stanza, the mother refuses, because she was trying to protect her daughter from the dangers of her environment.

From the first two stanzas, you could see that the mother loved her daughter and wanted to protect her from the dangers of the world, and you could see that the daughter respected her mum, to ask for permission to go the march.

Should your family have a say in who you marry explain
marishachu [46]

Answer:

No: they can have an opinion, not a say.

Explanation:

Your family can have a first impression/opinion, but they shouldn't have a say in who you marry. If you love that person, you should be with them. Your family shouldn't judge that, or try to make you choose someone else.
