He number of bats in a colony is growing exponentially. after 2 years, there were 220 bats. after 4 years, there were 880 bats.

if the colony continues to grow at the same rate, how many bats are expected to be in the colony after 10 years? do not include units in your answer.

An exponential equation can be written from its description using the form

... y = (reference value)·((later value)/(reference value))^((t - (reference time))/(later time - reference time))

Here, we have

... reference value = 220; reference time = 2; later value = 880; later time = 4

so we can write the exponential equation as

... y = 220·(880/220)^((t-2)/(4-2)) = 220·4^(t/2 -1) = 55·2^t

Then for t=10, the expected number is

... y = 55·2^10 = 56,320

Cargo ships arrive at a loading dock at a rate of 2 per day. The dock has the capability of handling 3 arrivals per day. How man
Vsevolod [243]

Answer:

4 days

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to use the probability functions of each of the intervals to know the Probability number and then use it in the expected value.

P(x>3 cargo ships) = 1-P(x<=3)

P(x>3) = 1-P(x<=3)

P(x>3) = 1-[P(x=0)+P(x=1)+P(x=2)+P(x=3)]

P(x>3) = 1 - [\frac{e^{-2}2^0}{01}+\frac{e^{-2}2^1}{11}+\frac{e^{-2}2^2}{21}+\frac{e^{-3}2^3}{31}]

P(x>3) = 1- [0.1353(1+2+2+1.33)]

P(x>3) = 1-0.856

P(x>3) = 0.1431

Als n=30, expected number is

E(x) =30*P(x>3)

E(x) = 30*0.1431

E(x) = 4.293

I expect 4.293 or 4 days per month the block being unable to hanlde all arriving ships

Find the perimeter of the figure. Round your answer to the nearest tenth.
zloy xaker [14]
Counting the straight sides gives you 23 units and using the distance formula on the bottom side gives you about 11.18 units. 23+11.18=34.18 and round that to the nearest tenth to get the answer of 34.2 units.
