Divide 5 pages by 3 hours to fins how many pages he wrote in 1 hour:

5 pages /  3 hours = 1 2/3 pages per hour.

Multiply 1 2/3 pages per hour by total hours to find total pages.:

1 2/3 x 8 = 13 1/3 pages (13.33)
