Health and illness beliefs can greatly influence the assessment process as the medical provider cannot completely get enough facts as the patient relies first on her or his beliefs. The client could also not be that cooperative especially if the procedure is against his or her belief for instance in the case of a Jehovas witness client that needs to prepare for blood transfusion, one would not do it as it is against his or her belief.
