Why did many Americans fear Communism?
Assoli18 [71]

They were scared of how rapidly it was spreading. It had taken control of some strong powers which the Americans feared could lead to a war. It lead to the cold war which isn't a physical war but it was a very frightening. Both sides had control over hundreds of nuclear warheads, so yea, we peed our pants.  All it took was a simple remark to mark the end of humanity.  It went a little like this;

Communist: Say I wont press the button.

Us: You wont.

Coms: WHAT??? *Reaches for button*

US: NO I WAS JOKING! WE WILL DO WHATEVER YOU WANT!

Coms: Keep talking...

And that pretty much what happened. The communist were strong back then, who knows what there capable of in the future.

Hope I helped. :)

Please help me<br> What type of map is this (political, physical, or thematic)? Explain your answer.
kvv77 [185]

Answer:

Thematic I believe

Explanation:

A physical map shows the geography or some physical feature of the land. A political map shows borders of countries, cities, or whatever it is depicting. That leaves a thematic map. It is showing an event or string of events. It shows migration which is an event and it has a timeline imbedded. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong. I never studied thematic maps, so I used process of elimination.

Should the United Nations have created Israel? You may conduct a brief Web quest if needed. Write your answer in an
Alex17521 [72]

Answer:

Why suggesting that the state of Israel should not exist, I am not being anti-Semitic. I am, however, being anti-Zionist. There is a distinct difference. An anti-Semite is someone who is prejudiced against Jews. An anti-Zionist, on the other hand, is opposed to that sector of the Jewish population who see it as their God-given right to establish a Jewish state in the Holy Land at the expense of the Palestinian people who have lived there for two thousand years.

The creation of a Jewish state in the middle of the Arab world not only represents the continuation of European colonialism in Palestine, it has also consisted of the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians and the establishment of an apartheid system by a rogue nation that has repeatedly violated international law. Given this reality, and the fact that Palestine is the Holy Land of three religions, the only just solution to the Zionist project of the Israeli state and its Western backers is the establishment of a single country: a democratic secular state of Palestine in which Jews, Arabs and Christians all have equal rights.
