The interaction between gravitational pull of sun and earth's inertia keeps the planets stable in their orbits.

EXPLANATION:

Inertia means change in center of gravity. Newton concluded that gravity and inertia, when combined helps to keep the Earth around the orbit of the sun and it also keeps the moon in Earth's orbit. Everything has a gravitational pull that may be big or small.

Like all planets, Earth has inertia because of which it resists change to its direction and speed of movement. But because of the sun's gravitational pull, earth remains in its orbit. Also, Earth pulls moon towards itself because of gravity, the moon doesn't move straight and because of inertial effect, the moon keeps moving ahead in the system.

Translation and protein synthesis is occurring at the ribosome. If the tRNA anticodon being matched at the ribosome is AUG, what
Bas_tet [7]

Answer:

The correct answer would be - option D) UAC.

Explanation:

By the process of the translation mRNA turns into protein as mRNA is considered as blueprint of the protein. During translation tRNA contains anti-codons or amino acid this anti-codon is correspond to the codon of mRNA.

The anticodon of tRNA which is present at the accept site or anticodon of tRNA molecule is complementary to the codon present in the mRNA which means A pairs with U and G pairs with C only.

Thus, the correct answer would be - option D) UAC.

An organism possesses one copy of each allele type for a given gene. It is said to be __________.
Sveta_85 [38]

Answer:

Heterozygous for the gene

Explanation:

Alleles are the possible alternative forms of a gene. An organism having two identical alleles of a gene is said to be homozygous for that gene. On the other hand, an organism having two dissimilar alleles for a gene is heterozygous for that gene.

For example, let's suppose that I^A and I^B are the two alleles for ABO blood type in humans. Here, an individual with one copy of I^A and one copy of I^B would be heterozygous for ABO blood type. On the other hand, genotypes I^AI^A and I^BI^B are homozygous for the ABO blood type gene.

WINSTONCH [101]
I believe the correct answer among the choices presented above is option A. The flow that correctly shows how genes are inherited is DNA→ RNA→ protein→ trait. The DNA gets transcripted into RNA which is translated to the proteins which turns into traits.

Briefly describe about pituitary gland in our body.
Arte-miy333 [17]

Answer:

Pituitary gland, also called hypophysis, ductless gland of the endocrine system that secretes hormones directly into the bloodstream. The term hypophysis (from the Greek for “lying under”)—another name for the pituitary—refers to the gland's position on the underside of the brain.Your pituitary (hypophysis) is a pea-sized endocrine gland at the base of your brain, behind the bridge of your nose and directly below your hypothalamus. It sits in an indent in the sphenoid bone called the sella turcica. The pituitary gland is one of eight interrelated major endocrine glands: Pineal gland.Through secretion of its hormones, the pituitary gland controls metabolism, growth, sexual maturation, reproduction, blood pressure and many other vital physical functions and processes. There are four hormones secreted by the anterior pituitary gland that control the functions of other endocrine glands. These hormones include thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and luteinizing hormones (LH).
