Ou and your friends are stranded in a small village with only two bed and breakfasts to choose from. Both claim to be the cheape

st in the area.
Look at the advertisements below:

Le Bed et Breakfast

£12 per night per person (+£1.50

service charge)

£2.99 breakfast (optional)

The Relaxing Richelieu

£18 per night per person (includes

service charges and breakfast)

Work out which hotel is the cheapest to stay at for one night, including breakfast, and by how much?

With this question, you need to work out the total of both places, and then compare by finding the difference.

At Le Bed et Breakfast: (I'm not sure if we need to include the service charge but I'll assume so)

We'll need to add the night, service charge and breakfast:

12 + 1.5 + 2.99 = 18.49 pounds

At the Relaxing Richelieu, it is stated that it costs 18 pounds per night per person, therefore we do not need to do any calculations.

When we compare, it's clear that The Relaxing Richelieu is cheaper, being only 18 pounds while Le Bed et Breakfast is 18.49 pounds.

This makes Le Bed et Breakfast 49p more expensive.

Hope this helped,

Cate
