In the days of the Industrial Revolution, the workday was abusive and inhuman, as it ranged from 10, 12 or even 18 hours of work. Which meant that employees simply did not have a life outside the factory environment.
Other than that, in a pre-labor time, in the first factories the working conditions were really unhealthy, especially because of the lack of safety care, accidents were common, with mutilations of people, among other things.

In the writing of the US Constitution, the word slavery was omitted from Article 1, Section 2 which outlined how the states would be represented in Congress according to their population. Each free man counted as one person, and every five slaves counted as three. However, slaves were referred to in the document as "other persons" prompting </span><span>a moral objection by John Dickinson who wrote the little-known phrase in his personal notebook during the 3/5ths debate at the Constitutional Convention in 1787.</span>
<span>The War Powers Resolution might limit foreign wars by the fact that the President cannot send troops to battle without Congressional approval by declaring war or granting an exception. The Legislative veto aspect of the resolution jeopardizes the legality of the resolution because Legislative vetoes violate the seperation of powers. The President has control over the military as commander-in-chief, but cannot declare war without the support of Congress. While Congress does hold the power to declare war, the President decides whether to cooperate with our allies.</span>
