Simplifying 4x + 20 = 6x + -10 Reorder the terms: 20 + 4x = 6x + -10 Reorder the terms: 20 + 4x = -10 + 6x Solving 20 + 4x = -10 + 6x Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right. Add '-6x' to each side of the equation. 20 + 4x + -6x = -10 + 6x + -6x Combine like terms: 4x + -6x = -2x 20 + -2x = -10 + 6x + -6x Combine like terms: 6x + -6x = 0 20 + -2x = -10 + 0 20 + -2x = -10 Add '-20' to each side of the equation. 20 + -20 + -2x = -10 + -20 Combine like terms: 20 + -20 = 0 0 + -2x = -10 + -20 -2x = -10 + -20 Combine like terms: -10 + -20 = -30 -2x = -30 Divide each side by '-2'. x = 15 Simplifying x = 15

A regular hexagon has an apothem of 14.7 inches and a perimeter of 101.8 inches. What is the area of the hexagon?
Neporo4naja [7]

Answer

748.23 in²

Explanation

Apothem a line from the centre of a regular polygon at right angles to any of its sides. This can be said to be the height of the triangle in a polygon.

The base of the  hexagon = 101.8 ÷ 6

                                            = 19.96666..

                                            = 19.9667 inches

Area of the  hexagon = 1/2 × height × base length × 6

                                     = 1/2 × 14.7 × 19.9667 × 6

                                      = 748.23 in²

In the Fall STA 2023 Beginning of the Semester Survey, students were asked how many parties they attended every week and how man
algol13

Answer:

A.58.81

Step-by-step explanation:

x = number of parties attended

y = number of text messages sent

The residual is the difference between the actual number of text messages sent (200) and the number of texts predicted by the regression model:

y=64.96+25.41x\\y=64.96+25.41*3\\y=141.19

The residual is:

R=200 - 141.19\\R=58.81

The answer is alternative A.58.81
