1) 20*3/5, use the rule a*b/c=ab/c

\frac{20*3}{5} =\frac{60}{5} =12

D is your answer

2) 1/5*8 =1.6, and 1.6 as a fraction is 1\frac{3}{5}

Just gonna show real quick how I converted this decimal into a fraction...

  • Split the number into its whole number component and decimal component, 1.6=1+0.6. .6=6/10, and 1 is a whole number, and 6/10 reduced is 3/5. So your answer is 1\frac{3}{5}.

3) Two thirds of 93 is 62, and you can word this as 2/3*93=62.

4) Three-fifths of 30 is 18, like the other problem, 3/5*30=18.

5) She has one liter cotainers and each of them are 2/3rds full. So to find how much sports drink is in 5 of the containers, you have to do 5*2/3=3\frac{1}{3}. You multiply 2/3 times 5 because each container has 2/3rds, and there are five containers.

Hope this helps, have a BLESSED and wonderful day, as well as a safe one!

A circle is represented by the equation below: (x + 8)2 + (y − 3)2 = 100 Which statement is true?
ss7ja [257]

Answer:

The circle is centered at (-8,3) and has a diameter of 20 units

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The equation of a circle in center radius form is equal to

(x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=r^2

where

(h,k) is the center of the circle

r is the radius of the circle

In this problem we have

(x+8)^2+(y-3)^2=100

so

The center is the point (-8,3)

The radius is r=\sqrt{100}=10\ units

so

The diameter is two times the radius

D=2(10)=20\ units

therefore

The circle is centered at (-8,3) and has a diameter of 20 units

PLEASE HELP ME!!! Thank you SO MUCH! Explain your answer
soldi70 [24.7K]

Answer:

y = -.5x -.5

Step-by-step explanation:

All you do is plug in the x and y in the point to the equation, y = mx + b. Since the coordinate is (5, -3), this in the equation would look like -3 = -.5(5) +b. (all you need to find is the y-intercept, or b.) Solve it out to get -3 = -2.5 + b. Add 2.5 to each side of the equation, you're left with b = -.5. Now, put that back into the original equation, and get y = -.5x -.5. I think this is right, you can go back through and check once more if you'd like.

What are the coordinates of the intersection of the diagonals of parallelogram LMNO, with vertices L(0,-3), M(-2,1), N(1,5), O(3
ArbitrLikvidat [17]
ANSWER

\boxed {( \frac{1}{2} , 1)}

EXPLANATION

The given parallelogram has vertices,

L(0,-3), M(-2,1), N(1,5), O(3,1).

The diagonals of the parallelogram bisect each other.

From the diagram, we can see that, the diagonals have coordinates L(0,-3),N(1,5)

and

M(-2,1),O(3,1).

The midpoint of any of the diagonals will give us the coordinates of intersection of the diagonals.

Recall the midpoint formula,

(\frac{x_1+x_2}{2}, \frac{y_2+y_1}{2})

Using L(0,-3),N(1,5) gives,

(\frac{0+1}{2}, \frac{ - 3+5}{2})

(\frac{1}{2}, \frac{ 2}{2})

(\frac{1}{2}, 1)

Or we could have also used,M(-2,1),O(3,1) to get,

(\frac{-2+3}{2}, \frac{ 1+1}{2})

(\frac{ 1}{2}, \frac{ 2}{2})

(\frac{ 1}{2}, 1)

The correct answer is C
