The length of a rectangular carpet is 4 feet greater than twice its width. If the area is 48 square feet, find the carpet’s leng
Sonbull [250]

l = 2w + 4

l * w = 48

We can substitute l with its value:

2w + 4 * w = 48

2w^2 + 4w - 48 = 0

2(w^2 + 2w - 24) = 0

2(w+6)(w-4) = 0

w = {4, -6}

Question on the image
erma4kov [3.2K]

Answer:

x = 30°

Step-by-step explanation:

So the total angle of a quadrilateral is 360°.

Your goal is to find x which associate numbers in each corner.

The equation to the quadrilateral is this:

a + b + c + d = 360°

a = ∠ABC = 4x

b = ∠BCD = 3x

c = ∠CDA = 2x

d = ∠DAC = 3x

∠ABC + ∠BCD +∠CDA + ∠DAB = 360°

4x + 3x + 2x + 3x = 360°

7x + 5x = 360°

12x = 360°

x = 360 ÷ 12

x = 30°
