As the name states, representational art refers to an art which clearly portrays or shows something which does exit in real life. When one looks at this type of art, he/she can clearly identify the object being portrayed, <em>even if its appearance is slightly altered. </em>
The following image is an example of representational art; even if the fruit is slightly altered, we can still identify it as fruit.
