All right to understand this answer we need to remember all the events. In 1828 the U.S. government passed a tariff to put an import tax of 60% to 92% of all imported products. This made the southern states suffer more, because of their situation and their trade deals. S, they decided that he best was to cut all compromises to follow the union's rules. However the U.s. the government released a law to use all power to enforce the practice of the laws. So, both prepared for an armed conflict. However, the southern states received support from the vice president and the government ruled out a new tariff law with improvements. Thus, conflict was avoided.
