Technology is a big think we overlook but is a really important part of our life. Computers, iPhones, iMacs, all these goodies may seem like just a little dent in the whole world but a single device can make a difference. Places in low class areas don't have the pleasure of technology... but why? Money comes in play. Money has a crucial role in technology. No money, no tech. In engineering, physics and chemistry, the study of transport phenomena concerns the exchange of mass, energy, charge, momentum and angular momentum between observed and studied systems. While it draws from fields as diverse as continuum mechanics and thermodynamics, it places a heavy emphasis on the commonalities between the topics covered. Mass, momentum, and heat transport all share a very similar mathematical framework, and the parallels between them are exploited in the study of transport phenomena to draw deep mathematical connections that often provide very useful tools in the analysis of one field that are directly derived from the others.

The fundamental analysis in all three subfields of mass, heat, and momentum transfer are often grounded in the simple principle that the total sum of the quantities being studied must be conserved by the system and its environment. Thus, the different phenomena that lead to transport are each considered individually with the knowledge that the sum of their contributions must equal zero. This principle is useful for calculating many relevant quantities. For example, in fluid mechanics, a common use of transport analysis is to determine the velocity profile of a fluid flowing through a rigid volume.

Transport phenomena are ubiquitous throughout the engineering disciplines. Some of the most common examples of transport analysis in engineering are seen in the fields of process, chemical, biological,[1] and mechanical engineering, but the subject is a fundamental component of the curriculum in all disciplines involved in any way with fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and mass transfer. It is now considered to be a part of the engineering discipline as much as thermodynamics, mechanics, and electromagnetism.

Transport phenomena encompass all agents of physical change in the universe. Moreover, they are considered to be fundamental building blocks which developed the universe, and which is responsible for the success of all life on earth. However, the scope here is limited to the relationship of transport phenomena to artificial engineered systems.[2]

Where did the symbols for the democratic and republican parties come from?
shusha [124]

Answer:

Jackson, a hero of the War of 1812 who later served in the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate, was amused by being called a jacka** from his opponents, and included an image of the animal in his campaign posters. He later went on to defeat incumbent John Quincy Adams, and serve as America’s first Democratic president. In the 1870s, influential political cartoonist Thomas Nast helped popularize the donkey as a symbol for the Democratic Party. For the republican party, it was formed in 1854 and six years later Abraham Lincoln became its first member elected to the White House. An image of an elephant was featured as a Republican symbol in at least one political cartoon and a newspaper illustration during the Civil War.

Hope this helps and have a nice day!

Explore the impact of black women’s clubs in the late 19th to early/earlier-20th century. In other words, how did they challenge
zmey [24]

Answer:

They challenged sexism because they showed that women had the ability to think rationally in the search for political improvements in their communities, they challenged racism because they showed intellectual, educated and sufficient black women. The concerns of these clubs were to seek changes in public policies and social concepts aimed at the black female population.

These groups helped black women to break stereotypes and achieve equality in certain parts of their communities, however, they also raised prejudice within the black community itself, mainly in relation to male clubs.

Explanation:

Black women’s clubs had as main objective to unite black women in causes that sought to break stereotypes harmful to black women and seek social and political equality for them. These clubs started out as literary clubs, where they brought together intellectual women to discuss subjects related to literature. Over time, clubs have evolved and started to discuss political facts and to work directly with communities seeking redress and equality for the country's black populations.

Although they did a good job for this cause, these clubs caused great prejudice on the part of white women's clubs and male clubs, even within black communities.
