5. Athens was resented mainly because it was the "Golden Age of Athens'". Other Greek city-states, like Spart purely resented Athens because of their wealth and fame.

6. Athens and Sparta were very different in many cases. In Sparta, the main focus was being strong physically rather than academically. Boys started training at the age of seven and rarely got a chance to go to school and learn. But, in Athens, boys were allowed to go to school and learn to read and do other things. Evidence is that Athens produced some of the most famous writers or philosophers, like Socrates, Plato, Aesop, Homer, Aristotle and Pericles. They were very different, hence the reason they didn't get along.

7. Athens and Sparta were invincible when combing their forces, in total they had over 7,000 soldiers, which was a lot back then. Both city-states showed they wouldn't go down without a fight.

How do you figure out what a lectures main idea is? How will figuring out the main idea help you when taking notes?
Zolol [24]

Answer:

The main idea of any type of text (spoken or verbal), including a lecture, is the main, most important point the writer/speaker is making. In one text, there can be multiple main ideas. You can easily recognize the main ideas of a lecture by looking at its title and subtitles. For example, if you are listening to a lecture about the central nervous system, the main points could be the central nervous system itself and its most important parts, which will be represented by titles and subtitles.

When you're taking notes, you should write down the most important things the lecturer is saying. This includes the things that are closely related to the main ideas, such as definitions and explanations. If you are unable to write everything down (which is usually the case), you should focus on these main points and ignore the details, because it's more likely that you won't need them.

liberstina [14]

Whenever a business lays off workers, the former make more money.

Let's say you run a tea production company and your production costs, which includes paying your workers, are higher than your earnings. As a consequence, you can not afford paying your employees and, inevitably, you have to fire them so that you have more money to keep running your company.

Is protest patriotic ? answer in a paragraph of 5 sentences.
umka2103 [35]

Answer:

I think Protest can be patriotic if it is done to fix an issue and make our country better. Many of those people who kneel in front of the flag make a valid point about where we still need to improve in America. That does not mean they hate this country or the flag. In fact, for many who protest, not only in the NFL, it is quite the opposite.

I hope this help you!:)
