The crucible although Abigail does not appear in act 2 how is her presence felt in act 2?

English
1 answer:
Sophie [7]3 years ago
5 0

Answer:

Abigail is, even in her absence, a powerful presence given that during the conversation between John and Elizabeth both try not to mention directly the fact that all his efforts to please her were, indeed, a product of the affair between John and Abigail.

After that, when inside the court, Elizabeth refer to Abigail with irony, because the reputation Abigail has (that of a saint) isn't as accurate as everyone thinks it is due to her character. After all, Abigail is the underlying cause of the conflict between them.

Write a short story, short essay, or poem using the words litany, commence, harbor, regimen, and charisma in context.
katen-ka-za [31]

Here below is a short poem using the words in their proper meaning.

Explanation:

A polyphony of litany rang across the church with the wind

and carried its shrill to the harbor----

Where the ship awaits consent to commence

On its journey to the distant shores.

The regimen of the fleet to await---

The blessings of the church

Overpowered by the Charisma of the new captain

Who favored the favorable tides to the God.

The words here are used according to their main meaning and not due to a fringe meaning they may have.

This poem uses the words in a narrative sense of them in a free verse. Hope this is of some help.

A teacher asks students to think of as many uses for a brick as possible. By listing 50 uses, most of which the class finds new
Hunter-Best [27]

Answer:

D). Divergent thinking.

Explanation:

Divergent thinking is demonstrated as the thinking process that is primarily inclined towards producing creative as well as authentic solutions by exploring or examining a wide variety of proposed solutions.

In the given example, Susan is displaying 'divergent thinking' as she tests a number of possible alternatives and explore them('50 possible uses of a brick') in order to reach a new, authentic, or creative idea/solution('find new and unusual use of a brick'). Therefore, option D is the correct answer.

In Stalin's opinion, why did the USSR decide to go to war with Germany?
gulaghasi [49]

The correct answer is A) because people of the world -including dissenters in Germany- had approved their cause.

In Stalin's opinion, the USSR decide to go to war with Germany because people of the world -including dissenters in Germany- had approved their cause.

Joseph Stalin was a dictator. The people that surround him, his advisors, often said yes to everything he said. So in Stalin's mind, the Soviet Union had to wage war against Germany because he thought he had total support from the people in Russia; even dissenters in Germany. So he considered that he was fighting the tyrant Hitler and his expansionist ideas that included an invasion to the USSR territory as he did.

The other options of the question were b) because Britain would be fighting with the Soviets, c) because Soviet troops had received threats from German ships, and d) because Hitler took Polish territory when he broke the nonaggression pact.
