David Émile Durkheim established the sociology's discipline and he was also considered as the main person related to the creation of modern social science. He was born in France on 15 April 1858. Most of his works were regarding societies and their relation with modernity.
He was concerned about integrity and coherence in societies and how these two aspects could be supported in modernity because this is a period in which aspects like traditional social as well as religious ties are not considered important, and it is also a period with the presence of new social institutions.
