Charles I was a king of England and was seen as too Catholic for English ways. When passed some laws without parliment consent it initiated the english civil war that ended with his execution and took power off the crown.

The base of his operations was the imperial center Tomebamba. From this site, Huayna Capac launched a series of campaigns to conquer the regions around Quito. Capac created two capitals within his empire: Cuzco, traditional capital to manage the south and Tomebamba to control the north.
