Anyone know the answer to this question???
Katyanochek1 [597]

They want you to write the number in index form.

The number is 5N^2, where N = 3 x 5^2 x x^3

So:

5N^2 = 5 x (3 x 5^2 x x^3)^2

         = 5 x (3^2 x 5^4 x x^6)

         = 3^2 x 5^5 x x^6

or a bit neater looking:  3² ₓ 5⁵ ₓ x⁶

Naddika [18.5K]

Answer:

1.) k + 516

2.) 2n - 4 = 3

3.) 57 - 2s

4.) 9h = 153

5.) c = 5n

Step-by-step explanation:

All of the problems given require you to set up an expression or equation. Expressions have a variable and a coefficient or a constant. Equations also have a variable, coefficient or constant but also include an equal sign.

1.) last year's miles = k, this year = 516, so total:  k + 516

2.) twice the difference of a number and 4 equals 3

twice a number = 2n; difference of this number and 4: 2n - 4; equals 3: =3

2n - 4 = 3

3.) 57 decreased: 57 -; twice her savings: 2s:  57 - 2s

4.) 153 is:  153 =; the product of height and 9:  9h, so 9h = 153

5.) notebooks 'n', were $5 each:  5n; total cost = c, so 5n = c

Lillian and Isabella went shopping for school supplies. Lillian found her favorite notebook on sale so she bought three of the e
ASHA 777 [7]

Answer:

Each girl had $7.50 when they arrived.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to figure out what c (cost of each notebook) is first before we find out how much money each girl had. We also know they have the same money, so both sides are connected. The equation should be: 3x = x + 5.

3x = x + 5

First, subtract x from both sides. This cancels out the addition by x.

3x - x = 5

Now, subtract x from 3x. This equals 2x.

2x = 5

To cancel out the multiplication by 2, divide both sides by 2.

x = 5/2

Lastly, divide 5 by 2 to get 2.5.

x = 2.5

Substitute x for 2.5 in the earlier equation (3x = x + 5)

3(2.5) = 2.5 + 5

First, multiply 3 by 2.5 to get 7.5.

7.5 = 2.5 + 5

Add 2.5 to 5 to get 7.5.

7.5 = 7.5

Both sides are equal so we have our answer. So, both girls had $7.50 when they arrived at the store.
