If the number of hrs they play games online increases, that just means they are leaving less time to study for tests...so their test scores will decrease.

Heather writes the equations below to represent two lines drawn on the coordinate plane. –6x + 18y = 0 4x – 12y = 20 After apply
dedylja [7]

Answer:

The equation has no solution; therefore, the system of equations has no solution

Step-by-step explanation:

we have

-6x+18y=0 -----> equation A

4x-12y=20 -----> equation B

we know that

If after applying the linear combination method, Heather arrived at the equation 0 = 60

then

The reason is because both lines are parallel, therefore the system of equations has no solutions

Verify

isolate the variable y in the equation A

18y=6x

y=(1/3)x --------> the slope is 1/3

isolate the variable y in the equation B

12y=4x-20

y=(1/3)x-(20/12)

y=(1/3)x-(5/3) --------> the slope is 1/3

Remember that

If the slopes are equal the lines are parallel

so

The system of equations has no solutions

Which one is x1, y1 and which is x2, y2?
(7, 2) and (15,8)
WINSTONCH [101]

The values are always interpreted as (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) in order from left to right, so in this case, (7,2) are (x1, y1) and (15, 8) are (x2, y2)

2. A soccer field is bordered on three sides by a parking lot of width x. The total
notsponge [240]

Answer: 50m

Step-by-step explanation:

this is the logical way I solved it:

1. Find the area of the entire area thing

300*200=60000

2. Subtract the area of the field from the area of the entire place

60000-30000=30000

3. Divide the area of the parking by three because there are three sides

30000 ÷ 3 = 10000

4. Divide 10000 by 200, not 300 because we want to find the side with one x, not two x (there are two sides adding on to the side with 300, but only one side on the side with 200)

10000÷200= 50

I know the steps are weird, but I know this is the right answer because this was on the unit test (same misspelling and everything lol) and during tutoring my teacher showed me how to do it, but of course I had to forget the steps.
