The legal basis for civil commitment can be found in the Supreme Court decision of Kansas v. Hendricks ( 1997).

A civil commitment is a legal process through which an individual who is deemed dangerous for the general public ( severe mental disorder), is order by court into treatment or a prolonged stay in an appropriate and secure treatment facility. It also apply to prisoners who, after serving their prison sentence, are still considered dangerous and therefore can not be granted freedom.

Kansas v. Hendricks was a U.S Supreme Court decision where two predators, Leroy Hendricks and Tim Quinn, were ordered to indefinite civil commitment after finishing their prison sentence. They were both convinced of inappropriate behavior towards children. During the trial they both admitted to feeling strong desire towards children when under extreme stress. The court considered them to be violent predators and ordered them to indefinite civil commitment.

katrin2010 [14]

The majority of Asian nations are now welcoming fully immunized travelers from the UK, Europe, and other regions. Most countries no longer need CO VID testing prior to travel.

The following countries are open and don't require testing: Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, The Maldives, Oman, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam.

Who are immunized travelers?

Immunized travelers are those individuals who take a certain type of vac cine in order to form antibodies against a vi ral infection, which in turn helps them not to catch the same infection once again. They, thereby, remain immunized to the infection.

Why is CO VID testing necessary?

By quickly locating those who require medical attention, testing everyone for SARS-CoV-2, including those who have no symptoms, those who exhibit infection-related symptoms like fever, sore throat, difficulty breathing, and loss of taste and smell, and those who may have been exposed to the vi rus, will help stop the spread of CO VID-19.

analyze similarities and differences in how the byzantine empire and the islamic caliphates use religion to govern before 1450.
miss Akunina [59]
One similarity was that religious leaders were also political leaders (to various degrees) in both entities. This meant that their power would not be as challenged by the citizens (after all, their leaders were god-sent, and opposing them could lead to God's wrath). Also, in this way, the entities could control their subjects better, because they controlled their private life too (including private ceremonies, such as marriages).
