In the article "Who Speaks for the 1%?" the author claims that he wants to speak for the 1%. These are the elites, the people with power and those with economic interests to protect. The author claims that no one focuses on these people of protects their interests.

However, the article hints at the fact that this is not the author's real point of view. He does not think that the 1% are in fact misunderstood. Instead, he believes that the 1% are the ones responsible for the crisis. The author wants to satirize the complaints of the elite in order to highlight their role in the crisis.

What specific challenges did the south Vietnamese face as they tried to flee Vietnam
garik1379 [7]
The Vietcong set up checkpoints around the nation, so that would've definitely been a literal and figurative roadblock to any refugees. Hope this helped.

REVIEW QUESTION: Identify two ways a literary analysis and argumentative essay are similar.
Art [367]

Answer:

A) They are both written with a formal tone

C) They are both written to get the other side to see where you are coming from with your ideas.

Explanation:

An argumentative essay is written in order to bring new information that would convince an audience about something, while literary analysis on the other hand is the comparison of style, language, diction, etc of an article to show the context of the article.

Therefore, the two ways a literary analysis and argumentative essay are similar are they are both written in a formal tone and they are both written to get the other side to see where you are coming from with your ideas.
