I first begin by dividing 13 by 6 to get 2.16666666667. I then multiple that number by 432 in^2 to get the answer : 936 in^2 for the larger solid.

The scale factor is given by:
 k = 6/13

 The relationship of the areas for this case is given by:
 k ^ 2 = (6/13) ^ 2

 Rewriting we have:
 k ^ 2 = (6/13) ^ 2

k ^ 2 = 36/169
 The relation of volumes is:
 k ^ 3 = V1 / V2

 Where,
 V1: small solid volume
 V2: volume of the large solid
 Clearing V2 we have:
 V2 = V1 / k ^ 3

 Substituting values:
 V2 = 432 / (6/13) ^ 3

V2 = 4394 in ^ 3
 Answer:

The ratio of their corresponding areas is:

36/169

The volume of the larger solid is:

4394 in ^ 3

A rectangle with an area of 24 square units has length x+1 and width 4x-6. find the value of x.
astra-53 [7]
Area = length x width.
24 = (x + 2)(x - 3) = x² - x - 6
x² - x - 30 = 0
(x + 5)(x - 6) = 0
We can eliminate the root x = - 5 because dimensions cannot be negative. So, the only valid answer is x = 6

The length = x + 2 = 6 + 2 = 8 in.
The width = x - 3 = 6 - 3 = 3 in.

The sun appears to move across the sky, because the earth spins on its axis. To a person standing on the earth, the sun subtends
Liono4ka [1.6K]

Answer:

128 seconds

Step-by-step explanation:

The sun subtends an angle \theta=9.28\times10^{-3} rad

Angular velocity equation is \omega = \frac{\theta}{t}

where \omega is angular velocity and t is time.

Earth spins at a rate of :

\omega = \frac{2 \pi rad}{24 h \times \frac{3600 s}{1 h}} = 7.27221\times10^{-5}  rad/s

Isolating time (t) from angular velocity equation gives:

\omega = \frac{\theta}{t}

t = \frac{\theta}{\omega}

t = \frac{9.28\times10^{-3}}{7.27221\times10^{-5}}

t = 128 s

What 18/25 simplest form?
bezimeni [28]
It is already simplified because there is nothing you can divide into both 18 and 25 that would result in whole numbers.

Help me on this i hate math and i don't understand bc i have to do this ASAP
Leto [7]

Scholar #2 is correct. You take 15=-3m-18+5m-7 and combie like terms. Which will leave you with 15=2m-25. You will simplify from there, getting 20=m.
