The research was commenced not only for nuclear weapons for the nation's protection but also for the improvement of public welfare and it's firming up in private enterprises.

The project started somewhat during 1939 through the commencement of the Manhattan Project. Manhattan Project was a research project of the Second World War that gave the world its first nuclear armament. It was a joint venture of the United States, Britain, and Canada under the administration of Major General Leslie Groves, engineer of US Army corps. Robert Oppenheimer a Nuclear Physicist was hired as the director of Los Alamos Laboratory, where the bomb was assembled. Two types of nuclear bombs were made during the war namely complex implosion-type atomic weapons and a gun-type fission weapon.

WW2 represented a massive arms race and president Truman believed that the Nazis have started developing a nuclear bomb, so he ordered that the US began the same project immediately in hopes of finishing before the Nazis.

<span>But i guess the most obvious difference is that the mapmaker changed the real names and added Irish references. Maybe it's meant to be "if Ireland colonized Eastern North America instead of England".</span>
