Answer:

The following is the story using the given four words.

Explanation:

Once upon a time, there was an apple garden in a city. It was well known for its red and tasty apples. This apple garden was owned by an old man, who did not charge a single penny to anyone for his apples. This apple garden was a little far from my house.

One day I asked my father to take me to the garden. Though my father was busy he promised me to bring me there on Sunday. I was eagerly waiting for Sunday. Then finally, on Sunday, I board a train towards the city. We reached the garden by 10 AM. I was very happy to see the garden but I did not know if there were animals as well. I got a little scared as I saw an Elephant. He was coming towards me or maybe towards the apple tree standing behind me. I began running and shouting. Listening to my voice my father and the old man rushed towards me.

The old man began laughing when he saw me and the elephant and said he will not harm you, pretty girl. Then only I took a breath of relaxation. After this, my father gave me a paper and asked me to draw an image of the elephant and an apple tree so that I can remember this incident.

Okay, well I can't make an opinion for you so you have to make an opinion on your own.

Look at the paragraph and read it.

Do you agree?

(yes) or (no)

If yes then do what it says and write why you think its right and what you think the meaning of it is.

If no then do what is says and write why you think its wrong.

The second option to writing the meaning is optional because you think its wrong and therefore it said; "Tell the meaning of this quote (if you agree)"

There is no right or wrong answer for this, its your own opinion.

On doing these assignments I would think of it as a learning process. Not everything has to be correct because if you are struggling with something that's why the teachers are there to help you. If they see that you aren't getting it then they will try and help you the best that they can, so don't stress over a test. (: hope this helped!!!

How does this excerpt help readers make a personal connection to the story? by offering facts about urban neighborhoods by offer
Dafna11 [192]

This question is missing the excerpt. I've found the complete question online. It is the following:

Read this excerpt from We've Got a Job: The 1963 Children's March.

One child in the neighborhood owned a bicycle. Wash and his sister had a wagon. For Christmas one year, they each received a pair of iron roller skates. When those wore out, Wash said, "we would take an old broom and turn it upside down, and that would be our horse. And we would get a coat hanger and make a cowboy gun."

How does this excerpt help readers make a personal connection to the story?

A. by offering facts about urban neighborhoods

B. by offering details about how Wash learned to roller skate

C. by offering information about Wash's toys

D. by offering information about youth violence

Answer:

The excerpt helps readers make a personal connection to the story:

C. by offering information about Wash's toys

Explanation:

The excerpt we are analyzing here offers details about Wash's infancy, more specifically about his toys and games. Commonly, information like this allows readers to form a personal connection with the character (in this case, a non-fictional one). Readers are reminded of their own experiences growing up, even if they were not exactly the same. People in general can relate to having to use their imagination as children to transform simple objects into toys, or to wanting to have toys but not being able to afford them.

1) The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas

Does the story represent contemporary American culture?
Harrizon [31]

Answer:

It Does

Explanation:

Actually it describes how people is becoming less happy, how their smiles are being removed from their faces, in the perception of the writer the city was amazing just as American people think the country, it is represented by the feeling of victory that the author names the triumph felt. As in the representation of the boy who is looked in a room, it can be said that we nowadays have as well things that prefer to ignore or visit vaguely to see how defective we are in deep. He can be also a representation of happiness, and how we have killed or hidden it in order to have a bright and supposedly happy life, but if we made all these fears or dreams come out they could end our comfort.
