English
1 answer:
Mama L [17]3 years ago
3 0

Step:

1: Understand the problem.

2:Exercise caution when you have two singular antecedents with the same gender.

3: A possessive noun should not be the antecedent for a pronoun.

4: Use the pronoun they with precision.

5: Use the pronoun it with precision.

6: Confirm that the pronouns this, that, and which have single, clear antecedents.

7: Use second-person pronouns only for direct address.

8: Make sure that the pronouns who, which, and that refer to the right types of nouns.

Those are some simple steps, hope that helps!!

This is what I would say!

I believe astrology is an outdated system and can no longer be relied upon. The pseudoscience depends upon spiritual figures which hold no explanation for why it can answer questions.

Identify the underlined phrase in each sentence as a gerund, infinitive, or participial phrase. Walking on the beach, Kat scoure
pogonyaev

Answer:

Walking on the beach - Participial Phrase

To precisely convey ideas - Infinitive Phrase

Running in a race - Gerund Phrase

Explanation:

Words that usually formed with verbs but can be used as nouns in other circumstances are called gerunds. For instance, in the above sentence, the words create a gerund phrase because they serve as subjects of the given sentence. In other words, the gerunds have relationship to the participial phrases because both of them have an ending of –ing, which is a suffix of the root word. Therefore, complete gerund functions as an object, noun, or a predicate. while a participial phrase functions as an adjective not as a verb. Infinitive phrase often starts with the word "To".
