It's an example of an advocacy mission statement. An advocacy is where a person or a group of people are working for a certain cause or certain goal that would help benefit many. Often advocacy groups promote awareness about the environment, healthful living, and generally a world of positive co-existence.

Use the given financial data to indicate which firm has the higher degree of each type of risk. Which firm has more business ris
Bogdan [553]

Based on the given matrics, the firm with more business risk is Purple Panda.

<h3>Why does Purple Panda have more business risk?</h3>

A company is said to have more business risk if the standard deviation of its expected Net operating profit after tax (NOPAT) is high.

This is because there is a greater variation in the NOPAT which means that a company has a greater risk of making less as well as more returns. Purple Panda has a high NOPAT standard deviation and so is riskier.

Charlie's brother, Alexander, also consumes apples (A) and bananas (B). Alexander's utility function happens to be U(A, B) = 5A
Andrei [34K]

Solution :

U(A, B) = 5A + 2B

a). Bundles (40, 5) = U ( _____ , 2), lie on the same indifference curve. Suppose missing numbers is x.

So, U(40, 5) = U(x, 2)

   (40 x 5) + (2 x 5) = 50x + (2 x 2)

     210 - 4  = 5x

       x = 41.2

So Alexander has 40 apples and 5 bananas. The indifference curve though (40, 5) also include bundle.

Therefore, (41.2, 2)

b). $MRS_{BA} = \frac{MU_B}{MU_A}$

                  $=\frac{\delta U/\delta B}{\delta U/\delta A}$

                  $=\frac{2}{5}$

                 = 0.4

So Alexander  has 40 apples and 5 bananas with this bundle. Alexander would like to give up 0.4 unit apples for a banana.

Answer:

(Q, R) = (1555, 1400)

shortage imputed = $0.388

Explanation:

Lot size-reorder point system is one of the multi period models. This system is denoted by decision variables (Q, R). This multi period model is implemented when there is uncertain demand in inventory control.

nevertheless, in the simple EOQ model, demand is known and fixed. But when the demand is random, these lot size-reorder point (Q, R) systems allow random demand.

There are two decision variables in a (Q, R) system:

Order quantity, Q and

Reorder point, R

ANEK [815]

Answer:

The amount Nenn debited to write off actual bad debt is $17,000

Explanation:

Please see computation below

Given that;

Beginning balance of allowance for uncollectible = $180,000

Ending balance of allowance for uncollectible = $190,000

Bad debt expenses reported = $27,000

With regards to the above information,

the net write off for actual bad debts is

= $180,000 + $27,000 - $190,000

= $17,000
